my-PV Expands Presence in the Benelux Region

2026 . 02 . 11
The photovoltaic heat expert my-PV is expanding its sales activities in the Benelux region. While the company has previously focused primarily on distribution through wholesalers, its new Technical Sales Manager, Roel Defrancq, will now support installers and skilled trades directly from Belgium. Visitors to the Solar Solutions trade fair in Amsterdam from March 10 to 12 can experience the concepts of the Austrian photovoltaic heat pioneer firsthand and meet the Belgium-born manager in person.
Direct Point of Contact
my-PV aims to continue its growth in Benelux. In recent years, the Austrian photovoltaic heat pioneer has concentrated on wholesalers in Belgium and the Netherlands. With the appointment of Technical Sales Manager for Benelux, Roel Defrancq, my-PV is expanding its sales activities toward installers and skilled trades.
As a native Belgian who speaks fluent Dutch, French, and English, he serves as a direct point of contact, helping professionals integrate the company’s photovoltaic heat solutions into their product portfolios.
The 54-year-old brings many years of experience in the renewable energy sector, particularly in the sales of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and PV installations. He is passionate about sustainable, customer-oriented solutions. His goal: “I want to support installers over the long term on their path toward CO₂-neutral and cost-effective domestic hot water and space heating solutions, and show them how to consider our solutions in every quotation for heat pumps and home storage systems.”
Excellent Market Conditions
Among the company’s current bestsellers in Benelux are the photovoltaic power managers for hot water and heating, AC•THOR and AC•THOR 9s, as well as the photovoltaic immersion heater for grid-connected PV systems, AC ELWA 2.
“Our reference projects show that the Benelux market is ideally suited to our self-consumption solutions,” says my-PV Managing Director Dr. Gerhard Rimpler. In the Netherlands, anyone feeding excessive solar power into the grid must pay grid fees of up to €800 per year to their energy supplier, depending on system size.
With my-PV solutions, surplus solar power can instead be converted into hot water and space heating. For example, the owners of a single-family home with a barn in Lekkerkerk, the Netherlands, which was equipped with an AC ELWA 2 in 2024, save €450 per year in grid fees – while also generating their hot water free of charge.
