Applying RABLE’s unique truss technology as the superstructure for solar carports strengthens the business case for carpark projects. Solar carports often struggle with profitability due to an overly high cost per kWh. RABLE improves this by enabling large spans, which significantly reduces the number of required support columns. With column spacing up to 18 metres (instead of around 5 metres), more than 50% fewer columns are needed. This lowers foundation and steel costs, speeds up installation, and improves drive-through clearance for vehicles and trucks. Depending on the design, the carpark structure can also be built up to 12 metres high. Up to 90 solar panels can be supported per column.
